Enrollment
Who is eligible to attend?
Camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender. All swimmers age nine (9) or older, including graduated high school seniors, as permitted by NCAA rules, may attend.
How do I register for camp?
All campers must register by mail. We will not accept phone reservations. For more information about how to apply to camp, click here.
How do I know if space is available?
Currently, all sessions have space available. Please see the Apply page to apply to camp.
Can I attend camp for more than one session?
Yes. Participation will be limited to a maximum of two (2) weeks at camp.
The sessions that I want to attend is full, is a wait list available?
Yes, we do create a wait list, but there is no guarantee of placement in your preferred session. No check is cashed while the swimmer is on the wait list.
Accommodations
Where do campers stay?
All swim campers will stay in the McCormick Road dormitories, located on the beautiful campus of the University of Virginia.
Can I request a roommate?
Yes, but only MUTUAL roommate requests are guaranteed to be honored. Additionally, both swimmers' applications must be received prior to the session reaching enrollment capacity. Due to University regulations, only two per room can be guaranteed.
Where do campers eat?
Meals are served at the UVa Dining Facility under the direction of UVa's professional nutritionist. Please remember to list food allergies on your application!
What security will be provided?
Campers will receive 24-hour supervision provided by resident counselors and coaches. Additional security is provided by the University Police Department, also on a 24-hour basis. Campers who violate camp or University rules will be dismissed.
Can I bring money? / Is a camp store available?
Yes. To insure safety, all swimmers are asked to deposit their money in the camp bank at registration. The camp store has the following items available for purchase: Goggles, Swim Caps, Shorts, Tee shirts, Snacks, Drinks, Swim suits, and more. Both the bank and the camp store will be open during special hours of the day.
Are cell phones permitted?
Yes. Campers will be allowed the use of cell phones from 12:45pm to 1:45pm daily, and from 7:30pm to 9:30pm each night. Cell phones in use during non-specified times will be confiscated. Cell phones should NEVER leave the dorm area. Please note: cell phone reception inside the dorms can be weak.
Can campers receive mail?
Yes. Use the swim camp address and please be sure to send mail in time for Thursday delivery at the latest.
What happens if I lose my room key?
The fee for lost keys is $100, payable by cash or by check. This fee must be paid prior to camp checkout.
If arriving by plane, bus, or train, what do I do?
Please supply a travel itinerary in writing fifteen (15) days prior to arrival. A camp counselor will pick you up.

Can I commute to camp?
Yes, commuters may enroll for $600.00 per week (Sunday-Friday). This fee includes all instruction, daily lunch, and Sunday evening dinner.
Do campers from the same family receive a discount?
Yes, two (2) or more campers from the same family receive a $25 discount per camper.
